The risk of becoming a victim is much higher for a woman at home than in the street.

Leaving an abusive relationship is a difficult step; shame and above all the fear of not escaping from the perpetrator are serious obstacles to vercome.

Discussions with other women have similar experiences and/or a social worker can be helpful.
