If you are able, bring the following items with you to the women’s shelter:
Documents
- passports, identification papers for yourself and your children
- money or money card
- health insurance certificate / health insurance card (“Chipkarte”)
- immigration papers
- birth certificates, marriage license
- bank account statements
- tax documents (“Lohnsteuerkarte”)
- rental contract
- pension plan documents
- child custody papers
- valuables (savings bank book, jewelry)
Other
- extra clothing for yourself and your children
- your children’s school stuff and favorite toys
- small items you and your children like
- address books, diaries
- medications
